To follow God’s call  to reach the lost by partnering with the national church of Chiapas, Mexico, “to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” Ephesians 4:12. God has called us to train youth and children’s workers so that we can transform the youth to change the world.

As Dwain Jones so clearly states, “the whole purpose of the whole church is to take the whole gospel to the whole world.”  God has given us a vision to train pastors, church workers, and even missionaries to send out from Mexico into all the world.

For many years, the United States has been a world leader in missions work.  The Assemblies of God alone has missionaries all across the globe, but an exciting shift is beginning to take place.  Many of those nations are beginning to send out their own missionaries.  We now have the opportunity to reach even farther than before.  Latin America recently had an international missions convention where Eliseo de la Cruz of Peru “encouraged participants to seek forgiveness for indifference toward the Great Commission . 1 ”  These nations are beginning to realize that they have a responsibility to reach the lost world.

Many Latin churches are full of new converts, so many in fact, that existing leadership is inadequate for the continued growth of the church.  We will be training church leaders in youth and children’s ministries, not only in evangelism but also discipleship.  And now the added realization that they too need to take an active role in the global harvest gives us the opportunity to partner with the nationals in training missionaries and sending them to the uttermost parts of the earth adequately prepared to share His gospel.  Jesus’ prayer request is being fulfilled before our very eyes.

God has called us for such a time as this – to prepare workers to help bring in the harvest of these last days.  Having given us a deep love for the people of Mexico, He has now called us to go and join in His work there.
