Transform
the Youth to Change the World
God called us to transform the youth to change the world.
We worked toward this goal through many ministries:
Children and youth workers' seminars
Through many events, we trained leaders to work with
children and youth. This is extremely important
because these ministries are not developed.
Seventy-five percent of the population of Mexico is
under the age of 18, yet our churches do not
minister to this group effectively. By training the
local leaders, we are helping them to reach their
young people for Christ.
Impacto
Missionary Mike Powell invited us to join him, Steve
Skipper, Mark Fitzgerald and a team of nationals as
they organize huge city-wide crusades in major
cities across
Mexico.
In Cancun on the last night, there were over 6,000
in attendance in a baseball stadium and hundreds
more watching the event on live TV. Over
320 people accepted Christ
in the four nights. The District Youth Director of
Cancun wrote us a month afterwards to thank us for
training the youth in dramas and street evangelism;
he said that they were so excited that they were
continuing to go to the parks on the weekends to
touch their city for Christ.
Missions Trip
The youth wanted to give something to others by
taking the first-ever missions trip to
an indigenous village. Over 30 youth joined us for
the three-day outreach, which included a medical
clinic, medicines, street evangelism, evening
crusades and children’s services. We saw at least
36 people saved
and many hundreds of lives touched by the Holy
Spirit. One young lady asked us when we were going
to have another missions trip.
Evangelism Seminars
By holding seminars in the major city of each
region, the youth became excited about reaching out
to their communities with dramas and outreaches. At
each training-crusade at least four people were
saved, which encouraged the youth that
they
could make a difference in their world.
By offering a moral-based program for free, the
doors were opened for us to enter the schools and
invite the students to a local park for an evening
party where we presented the gospel through dramas
with the help of an AIM team from Pittsburg. In the
two years that they came, we saw over
220 people (mostly youth) come to Christ.
Engage in Missions
Engage is truly "the next step" for students
who feel a calling to missions. Students will be
mentored by an experienced missionary and develop
skills, both spiritual and practical, that will help
them the rest of their lives. Students can achieve
an Associates of Arts degree from Evangel University
in Springfield, Missouri.
